CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
GENTLE VINYASA: GRADUAL MOVEMENT TO IMPROVE FLEXIBILITY & STRENGTH. WE GO THROUGH A SLOW-PACED CLASSICAL SERIES OF SUN SALUTATIONS BUILDING INNER FIRE AND HEAT.
NOURISH & RESTORE: DEEP RELAXATION AND REJUVENATION. IT’S ABOUT HEALING BY BRINGING THE BODY INTO A STATE OF DEEP RELAXATION. WE USE PROPS TO SUPPORT AND REST.
What’s my teaching style?
I received my 200-hour yoga Teacher Certification in 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition, I've continued my education in yoga therapy classes with leaders in the therapeutic movement, including Marlissa Sulivan & Jeffery Shoaf. Most recently, I completed a course in pranayama, gaining life-changing knowledge to share with my students. My teaching style has evolved toward a slow-flow warm-up and a focus on balance, strength, and flexibility. We use the breath as our guide to open the body and expand inside and out. We flush out inflammation and make room for energy to flow. I believe yoga adds a profound structure to our lives that frees us from emotional trauma and gives longevity, enabling us to stay on the path of peace and wisdom. I always consider myself a yoga student, and I learn something new every day—it's why it's called practice.
